The Old Ausable Channel is 14 km in length and runs south from Grand Bend through Pinery Provincial Park to the Ausable River Cut at Port Franks. It was created as a result of a series of diversions that occurred on the main Ausable River. more>

The Friends of the Old Ausable Channel is a non-profit organization that was created to help preserve and support this unique and valuable natural habitat. more>

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority and Pinery Provincial Park collected water samples to test the water quality of the Old Ausable Channel monthly from March – November 2006. more>
